The development of a new ‘express’ store strategy and creation of new store formats for Tesco Europe. Our work involved establishing the c store strategy and clearly defining the store segmentation from price sensitive to truly affluent neighbourhoods and across city centre on the move stores and neighbourhood community stores.
The first store opened in the suburb of Pagony in Budapest, Hungary. As well as the new retail format the project involved a redesign of the tired exterior of the building and creation of an adjacent children’s playground that really places Tesco in the heart of the community.
The aim to re-establish the presence of Tesco Bank on the high street. The well loved brand had lost direction and the project’s focus was to concentrate on its core proposition as the ‘really useful bank.’
