Warners Budgens in Winchcombe.
Since designing the Budgens concept store for Warners in 2006 we have continued to work with Guy Warner on the retail design of his new stores and defining and designing individual new in store initiatives.
Our latest work on his stores in the Cotwolds is all about leveraging his relationship with local farmers and suppliers.
On entry, the store clearly sets out its stall.
A central atrium walkway leads the customer through fresh locally farmed produce and baked goods to the beers and wines section, with product from local producers.
Digital screens help support the provenance message and act as a flexible point of sale system, allowing adaption of offers throughout the day.
The project involved the total overhaul of the store format, covering product, service, environment and in-store communication. The concept created a series of distinct product zones, including a wine cellar, bakery and delicatessen.
The new store format for the The Southern Co-operative at its branch in Freshwater on the Isle of Wight has been designed to meet the needs of customers in the area by introducing local personality with a focus on fresh 'local hero’ products and to accommodate increased ranges and better services.
